CSB6 features
Contactless interface
- PCD compliant with ISO/IEC 14443 (1, 2, 3 and 4, both A and B types),
- T=CL protocol embedded in coupler's firmware (256-byte frames),
- Supported contactless smartcards (partial list) :
- NXP Mifare Classic & Mifare UltraLight, Desfire, ProX, SmartMX,
- Infineon SLE66, STMicroelectronics ST19, Atmel AT88,
- STMicroelectronics SR176 and SRiX, ASK CTS256B and CTS512B,
- Inside PicoTag and HID iClass (serial number only),
- Calypso (Innovatron radio protocol) (option),
- NFC objects or mobile phones in 14443 card emulation mode.
- 13.56MHz RFID transmission, baudrate 106, 212, 424 or 847 kbps,
- NXP/Philips Semiconductors MfRC531 chipset featuring CRYPTO1 cipher unit with secure storage for Mifare keys,
- Card operating distance : 0 to 5cm (depending on the card).
Smartcard interface
- 1 standard ISO ID-1 slot ("credit card"),
- Standard : ISO 7816 (1, 2, 3 and 4), T=0 and T=1 protocols,
- 5V or 3V smartcards (class A & AB),
- Card baudrate : up to 115kbps,
- Gemalto GemCore chipset.
Synchronous memory cards (S=8, S=9, S=10) can be supported through specific software development.
µSIM/SAM interfaces
- 3 µSIM/SAM slots (ISO ID-000 format),
- Standard : ISO 7816 (3 and 4), T=0 and T=1 protocols,
- 5V or 3V smartcards (class A & AB),
- Card baudrate : up to 115kbps,
- Gemalto GemCore chipset.
One of the slots is accessible without opening the product, and features a card presence switch.
USB PC/SC interface
- Standard USB CCID profile, compliant with PC/SC version 2 specifications,
- USB 2.0 full-speed (12Mbit/s), compliant with USB 1.1, powered by the bus,
- Driver available for both Windows XP/Vista and Linux,
- Embedded APDU interpreter, giving easy access to memory contactless cards (Mifare and others) through classical READ BINARY and UPDATE BINARY commands,
- Sample software and development kit for PC/SC available freely.
Legacy mode
This product may also be used in so-called Legacy mode, for a smooth migration of applications already developed for earlier SpringCard contactless couplers (CSB4 and CSB5) :
- Standard USB CDC-ACM profile, seen as a virtual serial communication port,
- USB 2.0 full-speed (12Mbit/s), compliant with USB 1.1, powered by the bus,
- Driver available for both Windows 2000/XP/Vista and Linux,
- SpringProx API, sample software and SpringProx SDK available for registered developers.
