SpringProx-RC is a full-featured contactless reader / writer, with 2 internal SIM/SAM connectors.
SpringProx-RC targets TDS Recon rugged handheld computers, running Windows Mobile.

Contactless interface
- PCD compliant with ISO/IEC 14443 (1, 2, 3 and 4, both A and B types),
- T=CL protocol embedded in coupler's firmware (256-byte frames),
- Supported contactless smartcards (partial list) :
- NXP Mifare Classic & Mifare UltraLight, Desfire, ProX, SmartMX,
- Infineon SLE66, STMicroelectronics ST19, Atmel AT88,
- ST SR176 and SRiX, ASK CTS256B and CTS512B, Inside PicoTag and HID iClass (read only),
- Calypso (option),
- NFC objects or mobile phones in 14443 card emulation mode.
- 13.56MHz RFID transmission, baudrate 106 kbps,
- NXP/Philips Semiconductors MfRC531 chipset featuring CRYPTO1 cipher unit with secure storage for Mifare keys,
- Card operating distance : 0 to 5cm (depending on the card).
µSIM/SAM interfaces
- 2 micro SIM/SAM slots (ISO ID-000 format),
- Standard : ISO 7816 (3 and 4), T=0 and T=1 protocols,
- 5V or 3V smartcards (class A & AB),
- Card baudrate : up to 115kpbs,
- Gemalto GemCore chipset.
Integration in TDS Recon
- CompactFlash type I interface,
- Waterproof and drop resistant ruggedized housing,
- Powered by the PocketPC itself,
- Works with PocketPC or Windows Mobile,
- Plug & Play operation (SpringProx-RC is seen as a standard serial communication port, no driver to install),
- Unified SpringProx API, available in the developer's kit (SDK for SpringProx on PDA).
NB : The PDA is not provided with the SpringProx-RC.
